The Land & Business Director – Indiana is a frontline leader working directly with farmers and ranchers across Indiana and the Midwest to support regenerative and organic transitions. This role provides hands-on technical assistance across whole-farm planning, business strategy, soil and crop systems, and funding access—serving as a trusted partner who brings the right expertise together at the right time. Grounded in the field and connected nationally, the Director also builds regional partnerships, strengthens peer learning networks, and brings Midwest insights into Mad Agriculture’s broader strategy to help regenerative farms thrive.

Cellanie Farms is seeking individuals eager to learn about and practice regenerative farming techniques at a commercial scale. The full-time seasonal farm crew role offers opportunity to work with an experienced team to grow delicious, nutritious and diversified produce. Crew members will participate in all aspects of growing produce. This is a great position for someone who wants to work hard and experience the benefits that regenerative farming brings to human and environmental health.
FARM OVERVIEW:
Cellanie Farms is a 140-acre, organic-in-transition, reduced-till market farm located 5 miles north of Madison in the Town of Westport, WI. We have built a regenerative, tractor scale, diversified vegetable farm and perennial fruit orchard on approximately 30 acres. We offer weekly produce subscriptions and attend farmers markets throughout the growing season.
Cellanie’s mission is to re-connect individuals to their food, and the land from which that food is grown. We intend to be good stewards of the land while producing nutrient-dense, delicious food for our local community. Celebration of local food production provides an opportunity for community connection and is a core principle guiding Cellanie Farm’s mission.

About the Organic Farm School (OFS)
OFS is a small but established non-profit organization dedicated to sustainable agriculture production, farmer education, and community engagement. We have a good reputation throughout the PNW. Since 2009, we have trained and launched 85 organic farmers nationwide, with 57 currently working in farming or farm-related roles. Many of our graduates are making a positive impact here in our local community. Over the next two years, we will expand our operation from 5 to more than 12 acres, maintaining emphasis on certified organic vegetable and seed production. Longer term, we plan to incorporate regenerative livestock management and hay production into our program on additional acreage.

Our small but mighty farm is heading into its 22nd season, and we’re looking for some kindred spirits to join in the work, the dirt, the thought, the sweat and the joy of farming on Madison’s southern edge.
For all positions, we are looking for individuals who share our commitment to hard work, punctuality, respect for one another, and a drive to continually improve. Our mantras are “We are always moving forward” and “We are all in this together” and these drive our work philosophy and business. We value and reward previous relevant experience in our hiring, and also reward those who hit the ground running with energy and grit. In-season raises and end-of-year bonuses are often given to those who contribute directly to the farm’s success.
Open Positions for 2026:
Greenhouse Manager: (March through Sept-Nov) Train into a management role in our on-farm seedling and transplant greenhouses as well as our high tunnel production. This is a full-time, full-season position (flexible end date). We a small, diverse farm, and this position also involves general field and production work as a member of our core crew. Hourly Wage based on relevant experience, starting at $18/hr. CSA share and farm surplus included. PTO and work gear stipend is available for full season staff.
Field Crew: (April-June through Sept-Oct), full-time and part-time positions available. Participate in all aspects of vegetable production for CSA and market from seed to distribution. Hourly Wage based on relevant experience, starting at $16/hr. CSA share and farm surplus included. PTO and work gear stipend for full time, full season staff.
Farmers Market Staff: Help to staff our stand with the farm team at the Westside Community Market! It’s a GREAT side gig for a early-rising fast-mover with great mental math. Hourly Wage commensurate with experience starting at $15/hr, lots of farm produce included. Very generous increases and bonuses available for those who work the stand regularly and hit the ground running. Work hours are 6am-1pm Saturdays, but can vary a bit based on who opens/closes the stand. We run a sign-up for shifts, so is is not necessary to work every week.

Field Crew Leader

Vitruvian Farms has a full time crew leader position available for the 2026 season. This position could be a seasonal role or a year-round position.
We are looking for someone with prior experience on a small scale vegetable farm or market garden. Applicant should understand at least some of these basic vegetable growing practices: hand weeding, tilling, washing and harvesting vegetables, cultivating with hoes, transplanting, watering, pruning and trellising tomatoes, etc.
Crew Leaders work under the direction of the Field Lead and are responsible for working directly with and managing crew members in the field and pack room to weed, harvest, wash and pack vegetables for a CSA/Market/Wholesale organic operation. Applicant should be extremely reliable and excel at working with and training others.
This position has room for advancement.

The Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems is hiring a Postdoc Research Associate to study the development of diversified food grain supply chains in the Upper Midwest.
This is an exciting position that will work in collaboration with the Artisan Grain Collaborative, The Nature Conservancy, and colleagues at Iowa State University to study the development of diversified food grain supply chains in the Upper Midwest. The position will be split between two projects, one focused on defining the concept of a “grainshed”, creating indicators of grainshed performance, and evaluating the state of the Upper Midwest grainshed, and the other focused on creating an “oat road map” detailing the path and development needed for food-grade oats to thrive in the Upper Midwest.
